Attached is a picture of an old busted 802 diaphram and plastic loading cap from an Altec lansing 802 D compression driver.

Questions:

1. Can I replace the original diaphragm with a Radian 1228 without other modification (The GPA cite says a conversion kit is necessary for their diaphragms for older pre-1968 drivers)?

2. Will the plastic conversion cap work with the Radian fram?

3. Since these are Alnico motors, should I recharge the mags since their origin is unknown? The thin terminal wires are broken on each diaphragm so I'm not sure they were exposed to high power (e.g., the VC on the frams do not appear to be burned out).
